Wrong Keyboard inputs after installation of windows

Installed the windows but the keyboard is not functioning properly
You try to add this but instead # this comes
well here is the solution

>Go to control panel
> language option  
> add an input method 
> select English (India) 
> save it and delete the rest

Now your keyboard will perform correctly
I have attached screenshots also which highlights the mentioned issue.
